In an effort to increase community awareness of the effect of alcohol, the students at Greater Lawrence Technical School from the Advanced Science Technology Cluster have built a bionic simulation of what happens to the human body when it gets drunk.

The project's mission is to help viewers understand the science behind getting drunk and therefore to help viewers make intelligent decisions about drinking alcohol.

The Greater Lawrence Technical School has embarked on a unique project-based learning initiative in which instructors team teach with specialized experts via an Internet Webcast.

Microprocessor technology developed at the MIT Media Lab enables students to prototype ideas quickly and build complex solutions to real world problems. This technology presented by specialized experts enables local instructors in multiple disciplines to engage students by applying a broad range of academics to meaningful, interesting projects.

The content for this program was developed by Build-It-Yourself in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab.
