Build a heard of wild things from
nuts, foam rubber, feathers and
recycled junk.

Create a head, then a body, then arms and hands,
then legs and feet.
Do not connect the body parts together
until your Wild Thing mechanism is built.
This way you can make different parts move
independently just like a puppet
