Cuckoo Bird:

This cuckoo bird flies on top of a Remote Controlled Set of Wheels. Arms on the axels of a Sidewinder Gear Train control strings that make the wings flap. A bird chirping sound device attached to the Sidewinder Gear Train axel provides the sound effects.

The cuckoo bird is made from a plastic ball (the body), a broken pecan nut (the head) and two tooth paste lids (the eyes).

Tropical mosquitoes circling:

When a Power Top Gear Train makes an arm spin, the flies take off.

An arm attached to a motor that hits a piece of cellophane from a business envelope makes a mosquito buzzing sound.

The wings on this fancy mosquito are made from a blue, plastic, bottle cap. The bottle cap was smashed by a rock and then two pieces were snipped with a pliers to make it just right. Follow the Tool Rules and wear your goggles when you do this!!!
