Spider lurking for some tasty bugs: (Click to watch the spider climb.) A Sidewinder Gear Train winding and unwinding a string makes the spider go up and down its web. A Wind-up Sensor detects when the spider is at the top and reverses direction of the Sidewinder Gear Train. The spider is made from a pecan, a bead and some brown pipe cleaners. Drill a hole in one end of the pecan. (Follow the Tool Rules carefully.) Then insert a fish string in the hole. Put a screw in the pecan hole to secure the string in the pecan. If you tie a knot, you will not be able to adjust the spider position so easily or take everything apart for maintenance.
