Build-It-Yourself inspires kids to build their own toys, robots, puppets and other inventions.

	The Sun And The Moon: (Click to watch day turn to night.) The basic Sidewinder Gear Train is extended to slow down the axel speed. A chain links the slowest axel on the gear train to an axel that spins a long arm. The sun and moon are weighted so that as the arm turns, the sun and moon stay upright. The program slows down the sun and moon even more by turning the motor on for a 10th of a second and then turning it off for a second. A switch sensor detects when the sun is up (send a 10) and when the moon is up (send a 20). This means the sun and moon can "conduct" the animals and flowers in the mechanical garden.
	After you have built a collection of plants and animals, try exhibiting them in a landscape with real rocks, plants and dirt.
	This landscape includes a raccoon who comes out of a trash bucket munching on a corn cob. In these landscapes visitors were challenged to steer a flapping bird mounted on a remote controlled chassis around the garden obstacle course.
